00:06
Hey guys, this is Nick and Gabby from Rana.
00:08
And these are our vibes.
00:11
I have lots of vibes.
00:13
But I think my main vibes is like, you know, like a day where
00:15
I take care of my plants and then I like watch Netflix with a
00:19
big giant glass of wine and then I end it with a dance party by
00:22
myself with my bunny.
00:25
That's my vibes.
00:27
OK?
00:27
My vibes are everything you said except the plants.
00:32
I can hardly take care of myself because this is true.
00:37
Baby.
00:39
Say me.
00:41
I am about to say that, yeah, it's literally like a real thing
00:48
I had that plan with my ex.
00:50
We were gonna go to Disneyland but we broke up before we even
00:53
went.
00:56
So it's really, it's like real and, and I think like COVID had
01:00
to do a lot with it.
01:01
You know, we had a, a long distance relationship and you just
01:05
didn't know if we were gonna see each other again, you know
01:08
so it couldn't be more real.
01:10
It, it honestly could when, when we wrote it, you guys were
01:13
still together and then months later, they, then we got towards
01:17
the end of the song.
01:18
And then we so it was like, I broke up, it was literally life
01:21
imitating art.
01:22
Like we wrote that it was a psychic thing.
01:24
We wrote that and then it happened for the music video.
01:32
We wanted to create something that made you, like, feel like
01:36
those like early days of, you know, quarantine lockdown where
01:40
you were just like, what do we do?
01:42
And my friend who is a photographer, she came over and we were
01:46
just like, what she would do and we had this, like, really old
01:50
um not really old but this like Razor and our old computer
01:53
and telephone.
01:54
And I was thinking like, you know, right now we're using phones
01:58
and facetime and like that is what's keeping us connected
02:01
to other people.
02:02
So I thought it would be awesome to like in the music video to
02:06
have us like just talking on the phone or like chatting with
02:11
a shadow when you're Facetiming with someone.
02:13
It's like their person is there, but it's, it's not really
02:16
them, you know, it's just, it's like a, a different version
02:19
of them.
02:20
It's like you're talking to them through the screen and we
02:22
wanted to represent that with a shadow.
02:24
It just, it felt like it's like you're there, but you can't
02:27
touch them.
02:33
I'm gonna brag about gab over here.
02:35
She directed, edited and designed everything that happened
02:40
in the video.
02:40
Like she, she just creates all these worlds in her mind and
02:44
she makes them happen with her iphone, which is even more impressive
02:48
I love, I'm obsessed with film.
02:51
I love film.
02:52
I love movies.
02:52
I love everything.
02:53
And like, when I'm watching a movie I'm always like, oh, that
02:56
is such a cool shot.
02:57
I wonder how they did that.
02:58
And I, I finally was like, you know what?
03:01
It's expensive.
03:02
It's hard to hire people.
03:04
So I'm going to do it and I started directing and editing our
03:08
videos and I'm so glad I did because it's, I love music and I
03:12
love writing.
03:13
But this new creative outlet for me, it just, it has really
03:17
really been amazing.
03:18
I love it so much.
03:19
One of my favorite shots of the video is all of like the spinning
03:22
shots of the objects when I was shooting it.
03:24
I was like, oh, that looks so cool.
03:27
The best part of the video is like doing them is hearing Gab's
03:30
idea and then me having to execute.
03:33
She's like, I want this razor to spin and I'm like, how am I going
03:37
to do that?
03:38
Because she just expects me to do it.
03:40
And well, you're like my engineer, I'm like, I need this to
03:43
spin.
03:43
How do we do it?
03:44
So that's what I live for, you know, like I love figuring out
03:48
things that, that's my vibe.
03:49
Actually, I love when something doesn't make sense and I have
03:53
to make sense of it or like make it work.
03:55
Yes.
03:55
I think that's why we work really well together.
03:57
We're a good team.
03:58
We, like, I can do certain things and they can do certain things
04:00
that I could never, like.
04:01
I could not have figured out how to make that spin.
04:09
I would want the viewer to leave with, I guess, feeling like
04:13
sane, you know, like, feeling like we all went through this
04:16
together.
04:17
I think we all lost something.
04:19
Yes.
04:19
For, for a long period of time during quarantine, I think we
04:23
all felt really lonely and detached from the world, but now
04:26
I feel like it, we, we all can relate to this one moment in time
04:31
and we all went through it together and I think that that is
04:35
some way.
04:35
It's beautiful even though that sounds cheesy like we were
04:39
all alone when we were in it together.
04:41
And what about you?
04:42
I want people to go to Disneyland with their, with their love
04:49
Yeah, I'll take you to Disneyland.
04:56
I miss you.
05:02
Hey guys, this is Vic and Gabby from Ray.
05:04
Now you can follow us at Ring in the band.
05:06
Shout out to me too for sharing our vibes.
05:10
But I also because you're still gonna have to watch our video
