00:05
Hello, my name is Laura.
00:06
This blog is dedicated to my mom, Juda.
00:09
Dear mom.
00:10
Thank you for bringing me to this country.
00:11
Thank you for carrying me when I was four years old to my dancing
00:14
classes.
00:15
Even though I was pretending to be asleep, I just wanted to
00:17
be carried.
00:17
Thank you for sleeping with me.
00:19
When I thought Chuy was going to murder me in the middle of the
00:21
night.
00:22
My mom has been to every single performance that I've ever
00:25
been in since I was four years old.
00:27
She's always been there and she's always supported me and
00:30
encouraged me to follow my dreams and I am the performer.
00:33
I am because of her.
00:34
She's really, really inspired me.
00:36
I wish that she performed as well as I did though one time I was
00:41
on a date for some reason, I had to pick her up in the middle of
00:45
the date.
00:45
Now, this date was going really, really bad.
00:47
So I text her before I pick her up.
00:49
I'm like, so I pick her up and I'm expecting her to, you know
00:56
follow through and she gets in the car and she's like she starts
01:03
yapping.
01:03
And I'm like, mommy, she looks at her phone and she sees the
01:07
text.
01:08
So she goes, oh, no, I'm like, mommy.
01:12
And she goes, oh, wow.
01:19
And I'm like, she's pretending so horribly bad.
01:22
So I'm like, I wanna, when we get to the house, he's like, oh
01:26
I got a pee.
01:27
So all of us are going upstairs and all of a sudden she forgets
01:30
that she's sick and she's going up the stairs like this.
01:32
So, and she just starts going off again.
01:36
And I'm like, mommy and she goes, and I'm like, and she starts
01:43
laughing and I'm like nothing.
01:46
I'm like, go to your room and she goes, obviously she's not
01:51
sick anyways.
01:53
It was the worst performance of her life.
01:55
Oh, you know what, I'm gonna tell y'all something she came
01:57
through.
01:57
She forgot she was sick.
02:00
But then she remembered again and that's what counts.
02:02
And that's what moms are for to pretend they're sick when you
02:05
don't want to be on a date.
02:06
So thank you.
02:07
Let me know if you have any funny stories about your mom, if
02:10
she's come through for you, if she hasn't come through for
02:12
you, if she's been ratchet like my mom, because I gotta get
02:15
it from somewhere.
02:16
Uh Thank you guys so much for watching and Happy Mother's Day
02:20
to all the ratchet.
02:21
Mothers.
02:22
They Yes, that's how we always said.
02:28
I love you.
